Trailside Elementary is a traditional neighborhood school that is committed to providing an exceptional K-6 program. Our high expectations include rigorous academics that incorporate technology, the arts, outdoor education, healthy lifestyles and character education. We believe in the home-school partnership and enjoy a healthy volunteer population. A day at Trailside includes a day full of thinking, creating, trying, smiling, praising, goal-setting, assessment and celebrating success. Our staff loves to share their excitement for learning!

Trailside Elementary is nestled next to the Far North Bicentennial Park system with multi-use trails surrounding its vibrant vista, including the majestic Chugach Mountains as its backdrop.Since the school’s opening in 2000, the Trailside staff and families have worked to keep Trailside as a coveted school setting. We have an active school community with a variety of academic, sport, and social opportunities offered before, during, and after school. Trailside is home of the Trailside Triathlon in the spring and the Hit the Trails community run in the fall.
