The Alaska Staff Development Network(ASDN) provides several opportunities for Professional Learning for Alaskan Educators, including Alaska Studies and Multicultural Education. to see their new webinars and in-person learning opportunities.
Î÷Ê©Ö±²¥APP School District is a Level 1 District all courses in ASDN are eligible for salary advancement within ASD. Courses can also be found in Frontline.

Explore the concept of Mindframes as powerful drivers for creating fortifying school cultures that accelerate student learning, foster a sense of belonging, honor dimensions of identities, and promote educational equity. Mindframes refer to the underlying beliefs and attitudes that shape educators’ perceptions, decisions, and actions in learning communities. We will highlight the Visible Learning influences that accelerate or hijack thinking and learning in schools and classroom communities as they relate to belonging, identities, and equity.

Come explore the website's changes and see all the new available curricula. AI for Oceans: Computer science is about so much more than coding! Learn about artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, training data, and bias while exploring ethical issues and how AI can address world problems. Enjoy Code.org's first step in a new journey to teach more about AI. When you use AI for Oceans activity, you train real machine learning models.
Dance Party: AI Edition Learn about artificial intelligence (AI) concepts to create your own virtual dance party showcasing today's top artists. With dozens of songs to choose from, it reaches every student, regardless of their musical taste. It's time to strut your stuff!

Join us to get prepared and discover the resources, lessons, and big events we have planned for your students. We offer suitable for all grade levels that students can explore and enjoy throughout the year! Explore to see what is possible.

Would you like to become more comfortable with AI in your professional world? Join us to obtain the information, insight, resources, and tools to support your professional growth and your students’ futures in the world of AI. In this workshop, we'll explore:
- AI literacy for both educators and students,
- Common applications of AI in various fields, illustrating its broad impact and potential,
- Guiding principles when using AI in an educational context and how to effectively evaluate and use AI tools to support educational tasks,
- Ethical considerations and potential biases in AI, especially as they relate to education
- Responsible AI practices in teaching, ensuring student safety and data privacy.
