This class is open to all students who are interested in exploring student leadership and community stewardship. Students must be in good academic standing to participate.
In this course, students will have the opportunity to:
Study leadership models and refine one’s leadership practice and philosophy;
Work individually and collaboratively in cohort groups to achieve student-driven goals;
Participate on special committees lead by Operational Board Members;
Act as a student ambassador;
Apply leadership skills through active engagement and community involvement;
Attend state and national student government conferences;
Be a part of important decisions that impact Polaris and Alaska students;
Earn points toward a Polaris Leadership Endorsement
We are excited to announce that this year's Yearbook class will be offered as a Zero-Hour Course. We are looking for students who will bring energy and enthusiasm in helping to create and capture our school's cherished memories. Meeting on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:30 am to 8:15 am, the yearbook class is open to all students from 7th to 12th grade. Whether you have a passion for photography, writing, design, or just want to be a part of documenting our school’s history, we welcome you to join us!
