Welcome to Spring Term
Register for Spring semester classes through your counselor at the ASD neighborhood, charter or alternative school you attend. The last date to add or drop a class is 1/19. Drops after the two-week grace period will result in a WF posted to the high school transcript.
- Most core classes are NCAA approved.
- Courses follow a semester-long pacing guide. Work submitted two-weeks late is subject to a 10% per week point deduction, with a maximum of 40% docked.
- Registrations for current high school students will be accepted for original course attempts on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Courses are subject to consolidation or cancelation due to low enrollment.
Course Notification and Location
NO LOGIN EMAIL WILL BE SENT. Courses will be found on your Canvas Homepage.
Online Orientation
Take time to review the Online Orientation which contains useful information on AKChoice Virtual policies and expectations as well as navigation tips for virtual classes. It will also provide the answers to the Orientation quiz, which is mandatory in most of our classes.Recommendations to Help Ensure Your Success
Tip: The estimated amount of time to complete an online class is 20-40 hours.
- Log in daily to your virtual class(es)
- Use Chrome as Internet browser
- Maintain an accurate, unique student email address in Q
- Communicate weekly with class instructor(s)
- Devote daily time to virtual classwork & avoid procrastination.
- AKChoice Virtual Late Policy: deducts points from late assignments starting two weeks after a due date.
- Follow the prescribed pacing guide closely
- Notify instructor of absences or planned vacations
