Honor Goal: All students will create a visual project that represents and celebrates their life, family, and/or cultural identity.
What?
Each student will make a poster to display in the halls of the school.
Why?
We aim to develop a sense of belonging for all of our students. Successful students will feel valued and visible in our school. Each student will build skills in creativity, communication, and collaborating with others. Each student's project will be on display throughout the school year as an ongoing reminder of their importance to Airport Heights.
How?
Families can help students:
Collect or draw pictures that represent who you are. Share information about your life, family, interests, and culture.
Here are some examples of posters from our staff:
When?
There will be opportunities at the school throughout the year. We'll have a station at Open House with materials to help students create a poster. We can laminate it when it's finished. If families are able to make a poster on a computer, we can print it in poster size at the school.
Students that are unable to come to Open House and new students will be able to work with staff to complete the project.
