    More information will be coming in the spring regarding the AMCS Senior Honors Night.

     


  • Here are important pieces of information to help you prepare for graduation:

     

    • Students can choose to participate in the AMCS ceremony, their affiliate high school’s ceremony, both ceremonies, or no ceremonies.

    • Students will need to purchase a Cap, Gown, Tassel & Stole for the AMCS Ceremony.

    • AMCS ANSEP Students can only participate In their affiliate school’s ceremony If they took one course at their affiliate school during the 2nd semester of their senior year. ANSEP does hold its own celebration for the ANSEP Class of 2025.

    • Regalia has to be purchased for both ceremonies. (e.g. One set for AMCS and one set for Service.)

    • The AMCS cap and gown are black, the stole is gold, the tassel is green and gold.

    • AMCS students receive 10 tickets for guests.  Closer to graduation we will share information about how to get extra tickets for the AMCS ceremony.

    • An email will be coming to parents from Jostens with information on how to order caps & gowns soon.

    • AMCS does produce a each year. 

    • Students should submit their senior portrait to by November 18th.

    • Senior are available.

    • Students are responsible for submitting their senior portraits to their affiliate high school’s yearbook. Deadlines vary by school.

    • Please fill out the . If you need to change your plans, email Ms. Sherwood directly.

    • In March, AMCS will communicate with the other high schools and inform the affiliate of the AMCS students who intend to participate in their ceremony.

    • The Valedictorian and Salutatorian are selected each year from the graduating class. The Valedictorian ranks first in scholarship and is considered the top student of their class; the salutatorian ranks second in scholarship and is considered the second highest student in their class. Criteria are based primarily on weighted cumulative GPA. Thus, more than one student may qualify for the Valedictorian and Salutatorian distinctions. GPAs are calculated after the first semester of their senior year, and students will be notified of their honor status by the end of March. Students can only qualify for Valedictorian and Salutatorian if they are enrolled in AMCS at the beginning of their senior year.

    • Diplomas will be distributed at the AMCS graduation ceremony for those seniors walking with AMCS. If you are not participating in the AMCS ceremony, you can collect your diploma from the AMCS Registrar after May 18th. 

    The AMCS Graduation program and ceremony will recognize our graduating seniors with honor grad status such as cum laude, summa cum laude, magna cum laude, and Seal of Biliteracy.  Students may not be recognized for these awards by their affiliate high school.
