A two-year degree for students planning to enter the workforce that includes occupation-specific technical coursework. (60+ credits)

A.A.S. Degree
- This pathway requires 4 or more semesters and 60 credits.
- This pathway prepares students to work as entry-level medical assistants. Medical assistants are multi-skilled allied health professionals trained in ambulatory settings, such as physicians’ offices, clinics, and outpatient care centers.
- Prerequisite: Placement into WRTG A111 (530 Accuplacer or Writing Recommendation) and MATH A055 (ALEKS score 17)
- Students may participate in this pathway as full-time (no classes at home high school) or part-time (take three classes at home high school) students.
Graduates of the degree are eligible to sit for the national CMA certification offered by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA).

A.A.S. Degree
- This pathway requires 4 or more semesters and requires 60 credits.
- The dental assistant increases the dentist's efficiency in delivering oral health care. The dental assisting program prepares students to become skilled dental health team members.
- Prerequisite: Placement into WRTG A111 (530 Accuplacer or Writing Recommendation) and MATH A054
- Students may participate in this pathway as full-time (no classes at home high school) or part-time (take three classes at home high school) students.
The Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Dental Assisting articulates with the Undergraduate Certificate in Dental Assisting accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation.
