Preschool Extended School Year (ESY)

    ASD Preschool

    ESY is an annual IEP team decision.  IEP teams make ESY determinations based on the unique needs of each student.  ESY services could be provided in a site-based model, as itinerant services, or other individualized frequency and duration of services. 

    Transportation and meals are provided for ESY if children attend a site-based program.  Class assignments and transportation details (bus routes, pick-up times, etc.) are finalized the week before the ESY session starts. 

     

     2025 Preschool ESY Site-Based Model

    For preschool-age students whose IEP team determines ESY through a site-based model, ESY is offered 1–3 days a week (Tuesday-Wednesday-Thursday) for 1–7 weeks from June through July.

    • June 10, 11, 12
    • June 17, 18
    • June 24, 25, 26
    • July 8, 9, 10
    • July 15, 16, 17
    • July 22, 23, 24

     

    Program Time: 

    • AM Session: 8:00–10:30 AM
    • PM Session: 12:00–2:30 PM

    Itinerant Services

    For preschoolers whose IEP team determines ESY through an Itinerant model, their summer ESY provider will reach out to your family to schedule the ESY services.
