In furthering the mission to educate all students for success in life, the Î÷Ê©Ö±²¥APP School District provides equal educational and employment opportunities, services and benefits to all students and employees without regard to race, color, national origin, sex, religion, age, sexual orientation, marital status, disability, gender identity, or other unlawful considerations. This policy is consistent with local, state and federal civil rights laws and regulations.

Prohibits discrimination against persons age 40 and over in any area of employment. Alaska law also prohibits discrimination in employment because of age against persons of any age.Entitles eligible employees of covered employers to job-protected absences for serious medical conditions and parental leave.Prohibits discrimination in employment on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, marital status, change in marital stauts, pregnancy, parenthood, age, physical or mental disability.Prohibits discrimination against individuals with disabilities and requires employers to engage in an interactive process with the employee to determine if reasonable accommodations are are available that would allow the employee to perform the essential functions of the position.Establishes the Î÷Ê©Ö±²¥APP Equal Rights Commission and prohibits discrimination in employment on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, marital status, parenthood, age, physical or mental disability, sexual orientation, or gender identity.Requires all employers subject to the Fair Labor Standards Act (FSLA) to provide equal pay for men and women performing comparable work.Entitles eligible employees of covered employers to take unpaid, job-protected leave for specified family and medical reasons with continuation of group health insurance coverage under the same terms and conditions as if the employee had not taken leave.

Prohibits discrimination on the basis of genetic information with respect to health insurance and employment.
The Pregnancy Discrimination Act (PDA) is an amendment to Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. The PDA states that discrimination on the basis of pregnancy, childbirth, or related medical conditions constitutes unlawful discrimination based on sex under Title VII.
Prohibits discrimination on the basis of disability by any program or activity receiving federal financial assistance. Section 504 also requires school districts to provide Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) to children with disabilities.
This law makes it illegal to discriminate on the basis of race, color, or national origin in programs and activities receiving federal financial assistance.
Prohibits discrimination because of race, color, religion, sex, or national origin in all employment practices, including hiring, firing, promotion, compensation, and other terms, privileges, and conditions of employment.
Prohibits sex-based discrimination in any of the educational programs and activities operated by a public school district including: employment, fringe benefits, admissions, athletic and physical education facilities, financial aid, health services, counseling, and access to course offerings. Requires comprehensive written evaluation and remedial program to correct deficiencies.
