Entrepreneurship

  • Students will learn and experience entrepreneurship through a hands-on and problem-based curriculum. The focus in this semester's class will be on entrepreneurship, business start-up and innovation. Students will explore innovation and business ideas for self-manufactured products. They will work in teams to develop, plan, and execute a business pitch in a Shark Tank-style event. If funded, they will use their start-up funds to create inventory and sell at King Tech Marketplace Events. Students will have the chance to meet and work with local industry professionals and use similar computer applications, including Google Docs, Slides, Presentation, and basic Excel. They will also develop valuable critical thinking, decision-making, problem-solving, and collaboration skills applicable to any career path.
